6th Annual Research Seminar

Welcome to the 6th Annual Research Seminar of CIBR on Thursday, 13th of December at 12.00 in Agora, Auditorium 2 

The aim of the symposium is to bring together all neuroscience-oriented researchers and students in the University of Jyväskylä, and to offer a venue where to discuss your research, get new ideas and meet fellow neuroscientists. 

This year's program presents top-level research especially on brain signal processing and advanced methodologies at different levels of neuroscientific research. After the talks, there will be a poster session with wine and snacks at 17:00 – 21:00 .

  • Fengyu Cong, Professor, Dalian University of Technology: Linking brain responses between EEG and Music
  • Marja-Leena Linne, Senior Research Fellow, Tampere University of Technology: Modeling neurons, astrocytes and synaptic plasticity mechanisms to explain local cortical microcircuit dynamics in health and disease
  • Miriam Nokia, Academy Research Fellow, University of Jyväskylä: Brain oscillations and bodily rhytms regulate learning
  • Lauri Parkkonen, Professor, Aalto University: Recent developments in MEG


You are invited to present a poster or digital poster with a short talk on any topic related to brain and behavioral research, either work in progress or latest findings.

The seminar is free of charge for all registered participants.
