Prof. Natalia Stefanova: Alzheimer's disease -themed talk in CIBR-seminar on Fri 23.9. at 14:00

CIBR organizes a series of brain related seminars once a month. First one of these will be on Friday 23.9. at 14:00 in Ruusupuisto (RUU D 101 Juho)

Prof. Natalia Stefanova: Senescence-accelerated OXYS rats as a model of sporadic Alzheimer’s disease.

In recent years, we obtained convincing evidence that senescence-accelerated OXYS rats (created at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Novosibirsk, Russia) can serve as a unique model of the most prevalent sporadic form of Alzheimer’s disease. The use of this rat strain allows for basic research of the molecular and genetic preconditions and pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease and these findings can be used to develop the methods for early diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of this disease.

The seminar talk is open to all interested. Welcome!

Next CIBR seminars on 28.10. and 18.11. at 14:00.
