Introduction
The first section is the introduction. In this section we go through the theoretical background and information essential for understanding MEG research.
The section is set up so that it begins with general theoretical information about the electromagnetic principles and tech stuff needed to record the MEG signal. Then there is also a brief look at the physiological processes of the brain that give rise to the minute magnetic fields that the MEG is measuring. The meaning of these magnetic fields is also looked at in the third section.
After the first few sections we go into the signal and the various variables that can be measured with the MEG. From the theoretical background we go onward to shed some light on the different steps needed to transform raw MEG data to useable data. Lastly, we give some recommendations for further reads.
