Prof. van Atteveldt is one of the foremost experts in the field of educational neuroscience and currently leads two ERC-funded research projects.
Her research addresses questions such as student resilience and why certain adolescents avoid or embrace challenges. In her research program, learning is approached as a multi-level phenomenon, taking into account the neurobiology of learning, which is affected by a child’s individual learning history, beliefs and goals, as well as their social environment.
