Prof. Jari Hyttinen from Tampere University will give a visiting lecture titled "Assessing and imaging the brain functions – multimodal and multiscale spatiotemporal tools" this Friday. You are encouraged to attend the live presentation, but the lecture will be broadcast on Zoom as well - you'll find the link below.

Abstract: "Brain and neuronal functions are traditionally assessed by measuring their electrophysiological responses as such as field potentials in-vitro and EEG in-vivo. In this talk I will highlight our work on assessing the spatial and temporal neuronal communications in several scales from in-vitro cell cultures on mini-neuronal-networks to human EEG and discuss signal and computational model “in-silico” based approaches on assessing them. Further, I will provide introduction to a new possibility on modulating or stimulating neuronal systems called electric-field-interference and its possible applications in-vitro and possible in-vivo."
